Panggulawentah: Journal of Education and Social Humanities is a multidisciplinary scholarly journal dedicated to exploring the intersections of education, the social sciences, and the humanities through diverse theoretical perspectives and methodological approaches. The term Panggulawentah, derived from Javanese philosophy, refers to the process of guiding, nurturing, and shaping individuals toward becoming fully developed human beings. Inspired by this philosophical meaning, the journal positions education not merely as a transfer of knowledge but as a transformative process of humanization deeply embedded in the social, cultural, and ethical dimensions of life. From this perspective, education is understood as a dynamic space where knowledge, values, and social consciousness interact to foster responsible, reflective individuals who contribute to the advancement of society.
As an academic platform, Panggulawentah provides an open forum for researchers, academics, and practitioners to disseminate innovative ideas, empirical research findings, and critical reflections that enrich the fields of education and the social sciences and humanities. The journal encourages interdisciplinary dialogue that connects local wisdom with broader national and global perspectives, particularly in addressing contemporary challenges such as digital transformation, cultural change, social justice, and the evolving landscape of education in the era of globalization. Panggulawentah welcomes various types of scholarly manuscripts, including original research articles, systematic literature reviews, theoretical discussions, and book reviews. All published works are expected to contribute not only to academic advancement but also to a deeper critical understanding of educational, social, and humanistic issues. In the spirit of Panggulawentah, the journal aspires to become a meaningful scientific medium that integrates knowledge, culture, and humanity as the foundation for building a more enlightened and sustainable civilization.
